Norman recycling center reopens Toy donations sought

-

NORMAN – Construction work impacting the recycling drop-off center at the City of Norman Transfer Station has been completed and the location is again open for use.

The concrete drive access to the recycling area was reconstructed recently.

Recycling is again available at all four recycling drop-off centers:

• Hollywood Recycle Center, McGee and Lindsey.

• Westwood Recycle Center, 2430 Westport Drive.

• Fire Station #9 Recycle Center, 3001 E Alameda.

• Transfer Station, 3901 Chautauqua.

Two Cleveland County 4-H members are seeking donations of new Barbiestyle dolls and Hot Wheels-type cars. Emilia and Wyatt Ashworth will be traveling this fall to work and volunteer in the community of Piedras Negras, Mexico. They hope to give the dolls and small toy cars to the children they meet.

Donated toys may be dropped off at the Cleveland County Extension Office, 601 E Robinson St., in Norman. For questions, call 405-321-4774.
