EDMOND - Nick passed away with his family by his side. Nick was the youngest of five boys, he was a devoted Christian and lifelong member of Saint George Greek Orthodox Church where he was master of ceremonies for the Annual Greek Festival for over 35 years greeting thousands of faithful friends that came to enjoy the Greek hospitalit­y. Nick married the love of his life, Darlene Pagonis on June 2, 1968. Nick taught in the Oklahoma City Public School system for 35 years working with special needs students. Nick graduated from Classen High School in 1962. Nick attended Central State College (University College Oklahoma), graduating with a B.S in Special Education, then continuing on to receive a Master’s degree in 1970. Nick loved to travel and made many trips to his parent’s homeland, Chios, Greece. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Eugenia, and his brothers Mike and Peter. Nick is survived by his wife Darlene of the home, children Markella Williams of Oklahoma City, John and Alison Pagonis of Belfast Maine, Grayson Pagonis of Oklahoma City, Granddaugh­ter Rowan Walsh of Belfast, Maine, and his brothers Jim (Maria) and George (Becky) Pagonis both of Oklahoma City as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A Trisagion will be held at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Funeral Directors at 7:00 p.m, Thursday, October 7, 2021. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., October 8, 2021 at St. George Greek Orthodox Church with interment to follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
