Edna Lorene Ayers (Dobson) was born on 11 January 1929(92), at Texola, OK. Lorene was affectiona­tely known as “Punkin” was the third eldest of four siblings. However, she preferred to be called Lorene.

Lorene’s family homesteade­d to Oklahoma from Missouri and settled in the Erick area with the original farm located near the North Fork Red River in the early 1900’s. She embodied that true “Okie” pioneer spirit and had wonderful stories of the trials and tribulatio­ns growing up during difficult times, including during the great depression.

Lorene was married to Buddy Ayers in 1966. Lorene and Buddy were genuine ‘world travellers’ and have been to China, India, South America, Central America, Africa, Russia, Europe, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Alaska, Hawaii, and many points in between.

Lorene was preceded in death by her father, Marion Lewis Dobson, her mother, Edna Pearl Dobson (Hyden), her eldest sister, Bernelda, her eldest brother Garland, her son Ronald Philips, her grandson Trevor Michael Daniel, and other family members in and around Erick, Oklahoma,

Lorene is survived by her sister Marion Vargas (Dobson), her sons Robert Lee Daniel & Michael Eugene Daniel, and daughters-in-law Jackie Daniel and Christina Lim-Daniel, grandchild­ren Sara Donn Holmberg (Daniel), Wayne Holmburg, Andrew Daniel, great-grandchild­ren Vonn Trimble, Hendrix Eddy, Sylas Eddy, and Scout Daniel, her niece (whom she also considered a daughter) Cynthia Ann Bowland and her husband John Bowland, nephews Lindell Dobson, Michael Dobson, and Charles Stout and grand niece and nephew Nicole Bowland and Jake Bowland.

Lorene will be interred at Mustang Cemetery, Mustang Oklahoma at 10:30 AM on Saturday, October 9, 2021 and funeral arrangemen­ts are made by John M. Ireland Funeral Home in Moore Oklahoma.
