John Derik (BJ) Metzger

John Derik (BJ) Metzger born Sept. 15,1979 in Shawnee, OK suffered a fatal fall at his home in Maryville, TN and peacefully left this world Aug. 31, 2021. He resided with his wife Rissie and daughter Emma Metzger and step daughter Makayla Jackson whom, as his family made the decision for John to be an organ donor which saved five other peoples lives through this program that he was a perfect match for. John is also survived by his parents Katheryne and Patrick Flynn of Oklahoma City, Jim and Nancy Metzger of Lenoir City, TN, brothers Jim Metzger and family of Moore, OK, Justin Metzger and family of Nashville, TN, sisters Mariah Metzger and family, Stacey and Tracey Boley and families of Phoenix, AZ. He is also survived by grandfather Frank Metzger, OH and several aunts, uncles and cousins. A celebration of John’s life will be held on Nov. 26, 2021 at the Earlsboro Cemetery followed by a gathering at his brother’s house Jim and Styrling in Moore, OK to honor his life and love that he shared with his family and friends. He was cremated in Knoxville, TN and resting in a beautiful church garden in Maryville, TN. My son you will be greatly missed by all who knew you and loved you and will never be forgotten.
