Bernard “Bud” Bennett, affectionately called “Grandpa Bug” by his grand- and great grandchildren, passed away in the early morning of Friday, October 8, 2021, surrounded by family and love. Bud was born November 18, 1924, in Sparks, Kansas. While ser ving in the Navy during WWII, he wrote letters home to his parents every day. In 1987 Bud retired from the IRS. Bud loved his family and learned to use any new technology that would help him keep up with their lives, writing about them all in his family history book. Bud seemed to make an impression on everyone he met with his kindness, sense of humor, intelligence, and caring.
