MORNING ROUNDUP Energy FC draws with Austin

Xavier Baez scored on a penalty kick in stoppage time on Sunday night, and Austin salvaged a 1-1 United Soccer League draw with Oklahoma City Energy FC at Bold Stadium in Austin, Texas.

OKC (8-9-12) picked up a standings point and remained fifth in the Central Division. The Energy is two points behind fourth-place Memphis; the top four teams in each division advance to the upcoming playoffs.

It appeared the Energy would pick up three standings points after Villyan Bijev scored his 12th goal of the season. Bijev's goal came in the 83rd minute, putting a low drive behind Austin keeper Elliot Panicco. Oklahoma City wraps up the home portion of its regular season schedule at 5 p.m. Sunday against division rival Birmingham (16-7-5) at Taft Stadium.
