Parking pilot project begins


NORMAN — A new back-in angle parking pilot project has begun on James Garner Avenue. The parallel parking spaces with the pull-off lane on the west side of James Garner Avenue between Apache and Symmes streets are being transforme­d to allow for a different way to park. The spaces were assigned to another pilot project three years ago to introduce what parallel parking with pull-off lane could look like in Norman. The concept of a new pilot project is attractive as the back-in angle parking design is being discussed on future projects in Norman.
