Museum’s block party features 80 beer varieties

ARTonTAP, Oklahoma City Museum of Art’s annual block party, returns from 7 to 10 p.m. Oct. 23 in front of the museum at 415 Couch Drive.

Guests can enjoy more than 80 varieties of beer from 14 breweries, food trucks, live music from The Broadcaste­rs and a live chalk art demonstrat­ion by Elisha Gallegos. New this year will be a variety of hard seltzers.

Tickets are $65, or $50 for museum members. There also are a limited number of $100 VIP tickets offering early access to premium beers. For tickets and more informatio­n, go to okcmoa.com/artontap. A valid ID is required, and guests must be 21 or older to attend.

Gala to celebrate adult learners

The Opportunit­ies Industrial­ization Center of Oklahoma County will gather from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Oct. 28 at 300 NE 9 St. for OIC Gala 2021, celebratin­g the center’s 55 years of service to more than 41,000 adults in education and training programs.

The theme is “Night at the Oscars” and will feature an elegant red carpet, an auction, raffles, cocktails, dinner and stories of triumph by adult learners. There also will be video greetings and a performanc­e by Gerald Alston, lead singer of legendary group The Manhattans. Music will be provided by Positive Production­s Band.
