Softball clinic scheduled for Oct. 24
The Oklahoma Christian University softball team and Oklahoma catcher Turiya Coleman will participate in a PLAY BALL clinic at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, at Scissortail Park in Oklahoma City.
The clinic, which is sponsored by USA Softball, Major League Baseball, the Oklahoma City Dodgers and OKC Parks & Recreation, is for kids ages 18 and under. Participants will take part in basic drills and will receive a T-shirt, bracelet and Franklin bat and ball set. A USA Softball release said the clinic is being held with hopes of growing the game of softball and promotion for the new Oklahoma City Rookie Softball League.
OSU 26, COWLEY COUNTY 2: The Oklahoma State softball team continued its fall season with a 24-run rout of Cowley County Community College.
OSU scored in every inning. Karli Petty, Michaela Richbourg, Maggie Herdejurgen, Tatum Clopton and Kiley Naomi had 2-run homers for the Cowgirls.
