William R. Holmes

EDMOND - William “Bill” RalphardHolmes was born August 5, 1928 in Edmond, OKto parents Lloyd and Iva (Murphy) Holmes. He passed fromthis life on October 10, 2021 at the VAHospital in Oklahoma City.

Bill was a proudNavy veteran and was highly involved in Demolay, the Edmond Masonic Lodge, and Amaranth. He was an assistant scoutmaster and baseball coach for his sons. He was retired fromthe Daily Oklahoman.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Madlyn. He is survived by his sons, William Christopher Holmes and Thomas Hayden Holmes and his wife Alicia; and grandson, Hayden.

Viewing will be at Baggerley from4pm to 8pm, Friday. A celebration of Bill’s life will be 2pm, Saturday at Baggerley Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
