HARJO, CHENOWETH ADDED TO GOVERNOR'S ART AWARDS

Guthrie-based Cheyenne and Arapaho artist Harvey Pratt won't be the only Oklahoman to receive special recognitio­n at the 44th Governor's Arts Awards Nov. 9 at the state Capitol.

The first Native American U.S. Poet Laureate, Tulsan Joy Harjo, who is Muscogee, will be designated the 14th Oklahoma Cultural Treasure, while Emmy and Tony Award-winning performer Kristin Chenoweth, who hails from Broken Arrow, will be named the seventh Oklahoma Cultural Ambassador during the event, which all three honorees are expected to attend.
