Kentucky Distillers’ Association welcomes new member
Saddlestone Distillery has become the 46th member of the Kentucky Distillers’ Association, the nonprofit trade group that leads the state’s signature bourbon and distilled spirits industry.
The Woodford County distillery, founded by Cynthia Bohn, is the latest venture for Equus Run Vineyards, which opened in 1998.
The property in central Kentucky includes the winery and distillery, tasting room, offices, event barn/hall, vineyards and an amphitheater with live concerts.
Saddlestone Distillery will produce brandy and agave spirits, the distillers’ association said.
“We look forward to opening our new distillery to the public in the very near future and joining the membership of many wonderful spirits brands,” Bohn said.
Saddlestone is the KDA’s 26th craftlevel member, aging fewer than 10,000 barrels a year.
