Browns QB Mayfield expected to play Thursday

-

Baker Mayfield’s left shoulder injury is more severe than he or the Browns (3-3) had previously let on, but the quarterback still expects to play in Thursday night’s home game against the Denver Broncos (3-3). Mayfield said Tuesday he not only plans to face the Broncos, but he also insisted whether he plays will be his decision.

“Only I know how my body feels, and if anyone questions whether I’m hindering the team in going out there injured, that’s just not right. So it’s my decision,” Mayfield said in a pre-practice news conference. COWBOYS: Dallas safety Damontae Kazee was arrested early Tuesday on suspicion of driving while intoxicated in a Dallas suburb, police said. The Colony police Sgt. Aaron Woodard said Kazee was booked on a Class B misdemeanor. Kazee was released around midday after posting $2,500 bond, Woodard said.

The 28-year-old has started all six games for the Cowboys (5-1). TITANS 34, BILLS 31: Derrick Henry showed once again how important he is to the Tennessee Titans. Henry scored his third touchdown with 3:05 left, and the Titans stopped Josh Allen on a fourth-down quarterback sneak in the final seconds to beat Buffalo on Monday night, snapping the Bills’ four-game winning streak. The AFC East-leading Bills drove to the Titans 3 on their final possession and could have sent the game to overtime with a field goal, but instead went for the win — and didn’t execute.
