Amelia A. Ellis

EDMOND - Amelia Ellis of Edmond, OK, passed away on October 17, 2021, at INTEGRIS Baptist Hospital after a year-long battle with multiple health problems. A friendly and helpful person, she endured her medical issues with grace and fortitude. Amelia was mostly concerned about the effect of her problems on others.

Amelia was born on January 30, 1964, in Tulsa, OK. She is survived by her parents Merle Ellis and Rose (Baker) Ellis; sister Ellen Ellis; brother and sister-in-law Stephen Ellis and Cynthia Rogers; and their children Marita Ellis, Flora Ellis, and Bow Clement.

Amelia graduated from Wichita Southeast High School, Butler County (KS) Community College, and Fort Hays State University (BA in Business Communicat­ion). She later received an AA from Rose State College in Medical Records Administra­tion.

Amelia was very enthusiast­ic about genealogy and served as a historian for both sides of her family. She was also a skillful cook who worked hard to hone her craft.

A long-time parishione­r at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edmond, Amelia looked forward to the resurrecti­on of the dead and the life of the world to come.
