The Oklahoma high school tennis season is winding down.

The postseason is set to begin Monday with the girls regional tournaments, and the boys will follow a week later.

The girls state tournament is scheduled for May 6-7 at Oklahoma City Tennis Center before the boys tournament on May 13-14.

As the postseason nears, here’s a look at 10 Oklahoma City-area teams that have stood out this year.

Boys

Carl Albert: The Class 5A Titans claimed the Suburban Conference title earlier this month and did so in dominant fashion, not losing a match in the entire tournament. Keegan McLaughlin won the No. 1 singles title and is having another great year following his breakout sophomore season.

Edmond Memorial: The Class 6A Bulldogs placed second at the Central Oklahoma Athletic Conference Tournament this month. Logan Lemley won a conference title in No. 2 singles, while Luke Bishop (No. 1 singles), Jack Heyman (No. 1 doubles) and Wesley Redman (No. 1 doubles) each earned third-place medals.

Edmond North: The Huskies won the COAC championship and have been the best Class 6A team in the metro so far. Reid Rainwater has led the way and is one of the state’s top players in the 2023 class.

Heritage Hall: The Class 5A Chargers almost always have a solid team, and this year isn’t any different. Freshman Owen Fellrath is emerging as one of the best young players in the metro and has shown lots of potential.

Mustang: The Class 6A Broncos have been consistent this season, placing high in several big tournaments. They

took third at the COAC Tournament, where Chris Do and Cristian Salas teamed up and won a title in No. 2 doubles.

Girls

Carl Albert: The Titans are the Suburban Conference champions, and they placed third at the Class 5A Public School Championships last week. Edmond Memorial: The Bulldogs’ two doubles teams both had great performances at the Edmond North Invitational. Ana Grace Boggs and Olivia Orgill placed second in No. 1 doubles, while Lauren Ruff and Julia Spaulding placed third in the other division. Lauren Krise

also had a solid tournament, placing fourth in No. 1 singles.

Edmond North: The Huskies won the COAC Tournament this month and have one of the state’s best players in sophomore Alice Hsu, who placed second in No. 1 singles at the Class 6A state tournament last year.
