NORMAN - Thomas Everett Gray, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022 at the age of 75. Tom was born on Januar y 26, 1947 in Welch, West Virginia to Thomas Pilton Gray and Minnie Lou (Bowman) Gray. After graduating high school he enlisted in the United States Army where he proudly served as Surveyor at Fort Sill during the Vietnam War. He met the love of his life, Madie Lovelady, and married her on his 21st birthday – January 26, 1968. He felt so blessed and lucky to find such an amazing woman to spend his life with. Together they shared 54 wonderful years of love, laughter, and raising their children. They were blessed with two children, Stacy and Tony. Tom enjoyed coaching for his son’s baseball, basketball, and football teams and spent a lot of time practicing with him as well. He and Madie did find time to have some casino trips, which created wonderful and lasting memories. The other passion Tom had in life was for music. He was a guitar, banjo, and bass player and he really loved playing the bass as a member of the Killin’ Time Band. Tom was a very loving and devoted son, brother, husband, uncle, father, grandfathe­r, and great grandfathe­r who is deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Pilton Gray and Minnie Lou (Bowman) Gray. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Madie Lou (Lovelady) Gray; children, Stacy (cliff ) Aday and Thomas Anthony Gray; grandchild­ren, Blake Lassley, Austin Lassley, Collin Lassley, Adam Aaron, Riley Aaron, Cooper Thomas Gray, and Carsyn Gray; great grandchild­ren, Jaxon Lassley, Rilyn Lassley, Rudi Lassley, and Arlo Lassley; siblings, Lionel (Mary) Gray, Norman ( Judy) Gray, Loretta Novak, and Greg (Cathy) Gray; along with several nieces, nephews, and friends.
