MIDWEST CITY - Linda Sue Fullbright Whitehead, 78, passed away January 22nd, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. Linda was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma to James and Ruby Fullbright. She and her younger brother, Mike Fullbright, had a very close relationsh­ip and enjoyed traveling together. She met the love of her life, Lawrence Whitehead, at Potters Drive-in on Air Depot. Linda was 17 years old when they married on June 12th, 1962 and enjoyed 45 years of marriage until his passing in 2007. Linda is proceeded in death by both her parents, James and Ruby Fullbright and her husband, Lawrence Whitehead. Linda is survived in death by her brother, Mike Fullbright, her son and daughter-inlaw David and Pam Whitehead, her daughter and son-in-law, Kimberlee and Jesse Ashley, daughter, Cindy Wills. Linda is survived by 7Grandchil­dren: Teddy and Lis a Whitehead, Reno and Alex Ashley, Mandy Everett, Kelli Wills and Kristine Schroeder. Linda is also survived by 10 Great Grandchild­ren. Linda worked at Midwest City Hospital as a Nurse in Labor and Delivery, which she truly loved and took pride in. Linda enjoyed doing her civic duty so she ran for City Council for Del City and won. Linda was a member of the Eastern Star Galilee Chapter. Some of Linda’s fondest memories were spending time with her family including her favorite holidays, Thanksgivi­ng and Christmas. She loved cooking with hermom, making everyone’s favorite dishes and making candy. She absolutely loved her dogs, Jake and Bella. She had a passion for collecting jewelry and clothes. Linda will be dearly missed. Services will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 30th, 2023 at Ford Funeral Home, at 305 S. Sooner Rd., Midwest City, Ok. 73110, Visitation will be Saturday 9a-8p and Sunday 1p6p at Ford Funeral Home. Interment to be held at Arlington Memory Gardens, 3400 N. Midwest Blvd, OK 73141.
