Boys basketball

Brandon Harper, Sr., Noble: Harper made a clutch jump shot to lift Class 5A Noble to a 50-48 win over Guthrie on Friday. With 3.2 seconds left, he gave the Bears the lead, providing the winning basket for the second time this season. Harper finished with 14 points and four assists.

Noah Jones, Jr., Norman North: Jones played an all-around role in Class 6A Norman North’s 52-42 upset of Deer Creek on Friday. The junior guard had 12 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Jaden Nickens, So., Millwood: Class 3A Millwood had multiple double-digit scorers in a 68-60 victory against 4A John Marshall on Friday, and Nickens led the way. He poured in 23 points, two rebounds and two assists.

Boys swimming

Thurman Lee, Sr., Shawnee: He won the 50-yard freestyle (23.79 seconds) and 200 freestyle (1:56.37) at the Suburban Conference meet on Thursday in Harrah.

Max Spory, Fr., Edmond Memorial: His top performanc­e at the Central Oklahoma Athletic Conference meet on Jan. 21 in Edmond was in the 500 freestyle. Spory was second with a time of 4:59.21.

Kaleb Vaughn, Sr., Carl Albert: He won the 100 butterfly (55.14) and 100 backstroke (57.73) and played a vital role in Carl Albert’s victory at the Suburban Conference meet.

Girls swimming

Kaly Hein, So., Harrah: She had a solid week. On Thursday, she placed second in the 50 freestyle (26.69) and fourth in the 100 freestyle (1:01.15) at the Suburban Conference meet. On Saturday, Hein placed third in the 50- and 100meter short course races at the Rose Invitation­al in Oologah with times of 30.50 and 1:08.55, respective­ly. Natalie Selman, Sr., Shawnee: She helped Shawnee claim the Suburban Conference championsh­ip. Selman won the 100 breaststro­ke (1:14.79) and 200 freestyle (2:09.85).

Victoria Sun, Fr., Norman North: She had an impressive performanc­e in the 500 freestyle at the Central Oklahoma Athletic Conference meet on Jan. 21 in Edmond, placing third with a time of 5:47.38.

Boys wrestling

William Heger, Sr., El Reno: He won the championsh­ip at 138 pounds at the Chickasha High School Classic on Saturday. Heger defeated Carl Albert standout Kasen Miller in a 15-2 major decision in the finals.

Jace Province, So., Deer Creek: He claimed the 132-pound title at the Big 4+4 Tournament in Perry on Saturday.

Ean Wells, So., Community Christian: He won the 126-pound championsh­ip at the Midwestern Conference Tournament on Saturday at Firelake Arena in Shawnee.

Girls wrestling

Nelly Barton, Fr., Chandler: She pinned all five opponents she faced as she went on to win the 110-pound championsh­ip at the Midwestern Conference Tournament.

Lynn Horn, So., Blanchard: She claimed the 125-pound crown at the Chickasha High School Classic and is having a stellar season.

Stacey Nash, Jr., McLoud: She was dominant at the Midwestern Conference Tournament and won the 190pound title.
