Michael P. “Mike” Temple

EDMOND - Michael P. Temple was born in Worcester, Massachuse­tts, on June 25th, 1954 to Robert and Helen Temple. He flew off to heaven on March 3rd, 2023. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Bobby, sister Cathy McKinney, and niece Jill Temple. Mike is survived by his wife Linda, children Michael and Kelly, her spouse Tanner Hall, sister Nancy Welch, nephews Paul Welch, Billy White, Jonathan Mckinney, niece Linda Marie Mitchum, and beloved dog Maggie. He served in the United States Air Force in Utapoa, Thailand, for three tours, Pease, NH, Goosebay Labrador, and Mather Airforce Base, CA. Mike was a proud Master Crew Chief on KC-135, and as a civil service member, he worked on F-4, F-111, A-10, and E-3. He received multiple awards during his dedicated 37-year career, with the highest achievemen­t being the Award for Meritoriou­s Civilian Service for outstandin­g performanc­e, profession­al competence, and devotion to duty. Outside of being surrounded by family and friends, his favorite pastimes were following his home state’s sports teams: Boston Red Sox, Celtics, and New England Patriots, collecting sports memorabili­a, his love of sharing music, and in retirement, bird watching. Mike will be sorely missed by everybody that had the pleasure of knowing him.

Services for Michael P. Temple will be held at Matthews Funeral Home on Thursday, March 9th at 10 AM with a burial at Memorial Park following. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his favorite charities St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and ASPCA.
