FDR History, 8 p.m. h New Series

Presidenti­al historian Doris Kearns Goodwin and actor Bradley Cooper are executive producers of this six-hour docuseries that explores the political and personal trials that shaped Franklin Delano Roosevelt and his presidency, and ultimately made him the right person at the right time to guide America during the Great Depression and World War II. The series airs over three consecutiv­e nights beginning this evening with “Nothing to Fear,” which chronicles how FDR overcame crushing personal setbacks to lead the nation through the Depression with optimism, energy and a firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

America’s Hidden Stories Smithsonia­n Channel, 8 p.m. h Season Premiere

In “The Osage Murders,” an Osage Nation member returns home to learn the truth behind a series of reservatio­n murders that happened a century ago. Discover the full story of the Osage Reign of Terror, which inspired a Martin Scorsese film and led to the birth of the FBI.

Hoarders A&E, 9 p.m. h Season Premiere

It’s the 14th season of the Emmy-nominated series! Each two-hour episode focuses on someone struggling with hoarding tendencies, alongside their friends and family, as they work with experts to overcome a hoarding crisis with the hope of reclaiming balance in their lives. Tonight’s premiere focuses on Lia, who attributes her hoarding compulsion to when she was a child and was intrigued by her mother’s many collectibl­es and their trips to antique stores and estate sales.

In the series finale, “True Believers,” Liddy shares his concerns about Hunt’s stability with John Dean.
