Full Circle Bookstore to host French-speaking Swiss author

Full Circle Bookstore is set to host an evening with French-speaking Swiss author Thomas Sandoz at 6:30 p.m. March 25 at the store. As part of the French Cultures Festival, Alliance Française d’Oklahoma City is welcoming award-winning author Thomas Sandoz, who will draw upon his experience as a French-speaking author in Switzerlan­d and to delve into Francophon­e culture and the value of literature in today’s global market. He will also speak about his book “Croix de bois, croix de fer” (“Wooden Cross, Iron Cross”) and answer audience questions. Discussion in French with English translatio­n. Attendees can enjoy refreshmen­ts, door prizes, and the opportunit­y to pose questions to Sandoz. Full Circle is at 1900 NW Expressway. Magic City to host Texas author with Oklahoma roots

Tulsa’s Magic City Books will host Dallas resident, Virginia Reeves at 7 p.m. March 28 to launch her debut novel “Once in the Blue Moon,” a story inspired by her childhood in Oklahoma.

Set in 1940s Oklahoma on a cotton farm, the story is about the realities of life near the end of World War II. Illustrati­ng the story are copperplat­e etchings done by Kyle Hobratschk. Copies of the book will be available for purchase.
