BARTONVILL­E - Gary Edward Bryant passed away peacefully on March 25, 2024 at his home in Bartonvill­e, TX. He was born in Shawnee, OK to Alta Dent and Harry Bryant on November 29, 1938. In high school, Gary was the captain of the football team, Vice President of his Sr. Class and Homecoming King. In addition, he was involved in Future Farmers of America, his church and he even landed the lead role in the school play. Somehow he was able to balance his extra-curricular activities, his school work and kept up with his chores at the farm. After Gary’s father passed away unexpected­ly at the young age of 44, Gary at 19 took over as head of the family and running the family dairy farm with his trusted border collie Elmer. Gary assisted his mother in raising his younger siblings. After working to put himself through college, Gary graduated from the University of Oklahoma. Gary greatly valued education and served on the Board of Regents at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma for many years. After graduation, Gary started his career on Wall Street as a stock broker. He excelled at his chosen profession and founded his own broker dealer office, Anderson Bryant & Co., with his mentor Andy Anderson, in Oklahoma City. Later he moved to California and married the love of his life, Suzanne Bryant to whom he was married for 32 years. Gary was known by many of his colleagues and associates as “The Great One” for his ability to raise capital for his clients. Gary was a co-founder of the National Investment Bankers Associatio­n and the Southern California Investment Associatio­n, and in 2006 Gary received the prestigiou­s Founders Award for his contributi­ons to the investment community. Gary was very successful in the many business ventures he was involved in over the course of his career. Gary and Suzanne moved to Texas in 2009 and together they started BNoble Farms and Rescue Foundation. Gary and Suzanne had a passion for helping animals and their rescue has saved hundreds of animals and it is still going strong today. Gary is survived by his wife, Suzanne, his daughters, Holly Palm and Cecille Anderson, J.D. Kerr and his wife Meredith, Liz Jones and her husband Steve. Grandchild­ren are Chase Palm, Preston Palm, Brent Zechiel, Joe Grimes, John Kerr, Cade Jones and Carsen Jones and his sister Darla Riddle. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Pamela Bryant and Gloria Moyer and his brother Harvey Bryant. Visitation will be held at the DeBerry Funeral home in Denton, TX from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, March 29, 2024. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am Monday April 1, 2024 at Argyle United Methodist Church.
