Oklahoma Baptists buy former Sonic HQ
Oklahoma Southern Baptists have closed on the purchase of the former Sonic Corp. headquarters at 300 Johnny Bench Drive.
The Baptist Foundation of Oklahoma, which goes by the name WatersEdge, paid Canal Properties LLC and Sonic Building Investments LLC $17.7 million for the four-story, 100,779square-foot office building, built in 2003, in a transaction handled by Craig Tucker with Price Edwards & Co.
WatersEdge now has the six-story, 117,040-square-foot Baptist Building, built in 1984 at 3800 N May Ave., listed for sale for $7,607,600 with Cushman & Wakefield-Commercial Oklahoma.
