Therapy relieves sports injuries
CHITTENANGO — Dan Kingsley, owner of Chittenango Physical Therapy, played host to the Sullivan Chamber of Commerce monthly meeting June 7.
Dan gave a tour of the at 239 Genesee St. facility, and a demonstration of a soft tissue treatment called Augmented Soft Tissue Mobilization for tennis elbow. Kingsley noted it is a highly successful treatment for tennis and golfer’s elbow, wrist tendonitis, shoulder tendonitis, and scar tissue. He indicated that the treatment has been utilized by professional sports leagues such as the NBA, MLB, and the PGA.
Kingsley’s business has been a welcome addition to the area since opening in 2009. Community individuals are finding that they can get excellent physical therapy care right here in their hometown of Chittenango.
Having these resources locally encourages residents to visit other area businesses.
At the close of the demonstration, Kingsley mentioned there will be an upcoming local event intended to raise money for breast cancer research.
The Chittenango Duathlon is a one-, two-, or three- person run or bike race ( Du’Nango For A Cure) where all monies raised from entry fees and sponsors will benefit the Susan G. Komen for The Cure Central NY affiliate.
Hosted by the Chittenango Rotary, the event will be held on August 25, 2012 and will start at 9 a. m. at Sullivan Park. Racers and sponsors get more information at:
