Ethel I. Kennett, 91, of Vernon

VERNON >> Ethel I. Kennett, age 91, formerly of Beaver Meadow Road and more recently of the Oneida Healthcare Extended Care Facility passed away late Wednesday evening May 22, 2013 at the facility with her loving family at her side.

She was born on Feb. 20, 1922 in Madison, N. Y. a daughter of the late John H. and Maude ( Martin) Ausman and attended the Madison Schools.

On June 2, 1942 Ethel and Herbert C. Kennett were united in marriage in Madison, N. Y. and shared that loving union of over 65 years together until Mr. Kennett’s death on April 12, 2008.

Ethel was a homemaker who enjoyed times spent with her family especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband and camping. Her quiet times were spent with her feline friends.

Surviving are her three daughters and one son- inlaw, Michelle Robinson and fiancée Tim Morgan of Little Falls, Sharon and Paul Treannie of Huntsville, Texas, and Kathleen Miller of Malta, N. Y.; one son, William Kennett of Florida; eight grandchildren, Trisa, Audra, Shawn, Shane, Korie, Kyle, Scott and Bruce; 10 great- grandchildren and four great- great- grandchildren. Ethel was predeceased by her husband and one son, Bruce Kennett.

Family and friends called Saturday from 12- 2 p. m. at the Malecki Funeral Home Inc., 23 Front St., Vernon. Mrs. Kennett’s funeral service was Saturday at 2 p. m. at the funeral home immediately following calling hours. Burial followed in Madison Village Cemetery, South Street, Madison.
