Quite a year at Oneida Legion post

As president of the Oneida Legion Unit 169 I would like to take the time to offer words of thanks to each and every person who has made our past year the success that it has been. Without out our members, other organizati­ons, business and community it would have never been possible to hold our events that we sponsored during the 2012- 13 year.

To name a few we were able, with the post and SAL, to host our 1st annual Fall Fest, as well as work with the SAL during Leisure @ the Legion and Tri- valley Trail Riders/ SAL during the Vintage Snowmobile show.

The event that really brought the most pride to our post and unit this year was the joint effort in which so many came to aid in CNY Operation Sandy Recovery. This project enabled us to send a tractor- trailer of supplies to Babylon Legion Post 94 to help in their recovery process.

There were so many that came forward with quick response to make this all possible in that two week span in late November. First and foremost we would like to thank Conway trucking and Doug Emerson, without them we would have never gotten there. After that the efforts of so many people that made a huge difference in many lives. Thank you one and all for your part in making this the HUGE success that it became.
