Cazenovia's girls golf team was well represente­d on the OHSL All- Star team with two on the first team and three honorable mentions. Chittenang­o also had first and second team selections.

Cazenovia’s girls golf team had an very strong regular season, finishing 5- 2 in league play. The Lakers then finished second in the Class B tournament, only one year after finishing second to last.

Senior Maggie Carpenter and junior Danielle Mevec were two of the big reasons for coach Brian Ellithorpe’s squad’s big turnaround in 2013. The duo was recognized for their efforts, Both earned spots on the Onondaga High School League First Team.

Three of Carpenter and Mevec’s teammates were also recognized by the OHSL for their performanc­es on the golf course. Senior Sam Quarantill­o, junior Maddy Ellithorpe and sophomore Kelsi Fredricks all received honorable mentions for the team.

While Chittenang­o’s girls golf team didn’t finish as well as their neighbors to the south in league play, coach John Clancy’s Bears did split the season series with Cazenovia and finished with a 4- 4 overall record in the regular season and notched a fourth- place finish at the Class B tournament.

All year Chittenang­o was led by senior Meg Arnold, who earned a spot on the OHSL First Team. Bears teammate Megan Geariety, a junior, earned a spot on the second team while senior Carolyn Ledger was an honorable mention.
