The Chiefs rallied with four runs from the sixth to the eighth innings, but the Braves held on for the win after nearly letting an early 4- 0 lead slip away.

Gwinnett ( 23- 30) got on the scoreboard in the top of the first inning. After a oneout single from Todd Cunningham, Tyler Pastornick­y lined a double into right field to plate Cunningham from first base.

The next batter, Ernesto Mejia, doubled into deep center field to score Pastornick­y from third, giving the Braves a 2- 0 lead.

The Braves extended their lead in the top of the third inning. Following a leadoff single from Cunningham, Pastornick­y launched a home run over the center- field wall, increasing their lead
