New Farm Brewery Facility
Good Nature Brewing, Inc. will construct a new 4,000 square-foot brewery including indoor/ outdoor retail and event space for tours, classes, public/private events, as well as to renovate an existing 3,500 square-foot structure for use as warehouse and office space. Canals and remove several deteriorated timber dock pilings from the Erie Canal adjacent to the Terminal Building in Bellamy Harbor Park, repair the existing concrete and sheet piling bulkhead, and install new boat docks. CODE GREEN: City of Utica Zoning Update will include a Zoning Ordinance update in the City of Utica in order to provide opportunities for innovative approaches to development, enabling the City to be a more economically viable and sustainable community. The new Ordinance will incorporate sustainable design and smart growth principles while promoting mixed-use, pedestrian friendly, dense, urban infill development that will attract new residents to Utica’s urban core. Overall, this Project will result in increased, sustainable development in distressed areas, increased use of green technology in local businesses and projects, and an increased number of job opportunities. City of Utica - $500,000 Kemble Park Project The City of Utica will develop a plan to re-purpose the former Kemble School site into a community park that will serve the recreational needs of Cornhill district residents, who have limited options for recreation/physical activity beyond their front porches and paved streets. MWPAI will generate interactive programs and/or cross promotion with music, visual and performing arts organizations, the city’s school district, the Mohawk Valley Resource Center for Refugees and local businesses to make the exhibition relevant to the broadest possible audience. Through an exhibition of 55 major paintings by the leaders of French Impressionism such as Claude Monet and Pierre-Auguste Renoir, as well as by America’s most noted Impressionist painters Mary Cassatt and John Singer Sargent, the Munson-Williams- Proctor Arts Institute seeks funding to engage audiences, unite regional arts organizations and small businesses, and advance cultural tourism. ONEIDA, HERKIMER, HAMILTON COUNTIES Vincent’s Heating and Fuel LLC - $1,337,625 Vincent’s Pellet Hub The Vincent’s Pellet Hub Project will implement the concept of a ‘Pellet Hub’ in two phases in the Mohawk Valley and North Country regions. Phase One will include the installation of three 70-ton silos to store pellets and stabilize the market.
Phase Two will focus on the installation of pellet boiler systems within eight municipal and commercial buildings, as well as smaller systems for five residential homes.
Use of wood pellets replaces fossil fuels with sustainable locally generated wood fuel.
