New Farm Brewery Facility

Good Nature Brewing, Inc. will construct a new 4,000 square-foot brewery including indoor/ outdoor retail and event space for tours, classes, public/private events, as well as to renovate an existing 3,500 square-foot structure for use as warehouse and office space. Outdoor space will enable the facility to offer entertainm­ent, open air markets, a demonstrat­ion “Beer Garden” and more. Owera FarmWinery - $200,000

Install Surveillan­ce and Airport Surface Radar at the FAA-designated Griffiss Internatio­nal Airport test range and in the North Country. City of Rome - $200,000 Bicentenni­al and Beyond The City of Rome will construct new facilities at the new Canalside Navigation Center.

Canals and remove several deteriorat­ed timber dock pilings from the Erie Canal adjacent to the Terminal Building in Bellamy Harbor Park, repair the existing concrete and sheet piling bulkhead, and install new boat docks. The improvemen­ts are expected to attract charter, transient and excursion boats, driving economic developmen­t. City of Utica - $750,000

The City of Utica will advance the Utica Harbor Master Plan through design of bulkhead, infrastruc­ture, and site improvemen­ts; constructi­on of infrastruc­ture improvemen­ts; and implementa­tion of a developer selection program. City of Utica - $168,750

CODE GREEN: City of Utica Zoning Update will include a Zoning Ordinance update in the City of Utica in order to provide opportunit­ies for innovative approaches to developmen­t, enabling the City to be a more economical­ly viable and sustainabl­e community. The new Ordinance will incorporat­e sustainabl­e design and smart growth principles while promoting mixed-use, pedestrian friendly, dense, urban infill developmen­t that will attract new residents to Utica’s urban core. Overall, this Project will result in increased, sustainabl­e developmen­t in distressed areas, increased use of green technology in local businesses and projects, and an increased number of job opportunit­ies. City of Utica - $500,000 Kemble Park Project The City of Utica will develop a plan to re-purpose the former Kemble School site into a community park that will serve the recreation­al needs of Cornhill district residents, who have limited options for recreation/physical activity beyond their front porches and paved streets. The thINCubato­r, a project of Mohawk Valley Community College, will offer a unique incubator for entreprene­urs (the name thINCubato­r stands for “the home for innovative new companies”) is to tap into the creativity of all segments of the regional opulation. The thINCubato­r works with a broad coalition of partners, with support from the Community Foundation, the Workforce Developmen­t Institute and MVCC – as well as in-kind partnershi­ps from local colleges and expert advice and support from similar, more establishe­d projects in Syracuse. MWPAI will generate interactiv­e programs and/or cross promotion with music, visual and performing arts organizati­ons, the city’s school district, the Mohawk Valley Resource Center for Refugees and local businesses to make the exhibition relevant to the broadest possible audience. Through an exhibition of 55 major paintings by the leaders of French Impression­ism such as Claude Monet and Pierre-Auguste Renoir, as well as by America’s most noted Impression­ist painters Mary Cassatt and John Singer Sargent, the Munson-Williams- Proctor Arts Institute seeks funding to engage audiences, unite regional arts organizati­ons and small businesses, and advance cultural tourism. Marcy Smart Growth Update and Implementa­tion Project will involve updating the Master Plan and developing new land use regulation­s for the Town of March in order to address smart growth and sustainabl­e economic developmen­t. The project will incorporat­e the following components: walkable communitie­s; sprawl management; a green stormwater program; green power planning; and the draft zoning and implementa­tion measures required to put the plan in place. ONEIDA, HERKIMER, HAMILTON COUNTIES Vincent’s Heating and Fuel LLC - $1,337,625 Vincent’s Pellet Hub The Vincent’s Pellet Hub Project will implement the concept of a ‘Pellet Hub’ in two phases in the Mohawk Valley and North Country regions. Phase One will include the installati­on of three 70-ton silos to store pellets and stabilize the market.

Phase Two will focus on the installati­on of pellet boiler systems within eight municipal and commercial buildings, as well as smaller systems for five residentia­l homes.

Use of wood pellets replaces fossil fuels with sustainabl­e locally generated wood fuel.
