Madeline Mary Jones received her White Coat on March 19, 2016 at the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine White Coat Ceremony in Ithaca. The White Coat is a time honored ceremony marking the transition from pre- clinical to the clinical portion of a student’s educationa­l training. Jones was “coated” by her father, Dr. Michael S. Jones of Verona. Her mother, Richele M. Jones of Oneida, was also in attendance. Jones will graduate in May 2017 with a doctorate in veterinary medicine and surgery. She plans to work alongside her father in their family practice.

Nichole Scholl of Oneida has been named to the President’s List at SUNY Cortland for the spring 2016 semester. Scholl, a 2015 graduate of Oneida High School, is majoring in criminolog­y and internatio­nal studies.

Jenni f er Lindsey Brodock has been named to the Dean’s List at the University of Massachuse­tts for the fall and spring semesters. Brodock is enrolled in the Commonweal­th Honors College at UMASS, where she majors in food science.

The following LeMoyne College students graduated in May 2016 and made the Spring 2016 Dean’s List.

Shelby Brabant of Cazenovia, Jaclyn Cavanagh of Oneida, Kilian Crowley of Cazenovia, Brandon Curtis of Canastota, Elizabeth Dennee of Chittenang­o, McKenzie Doig of Chittenang­o, Samuel Farfaglia of Canastota, Meghan Karmis of Cazenovia, Melissa McGovern of Canastota, Makenzie Mohorter of Canastota, Emily Sinesi of DeRuyter, Ronald Vaccaro of Canastota, and Kathaleen Vineall of Oneida.

Leland Cudney of Cazenovia has been named to the Champlain College Dean’s List for the Spring 2016 semester.

Students on the Dean’s List have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher during the semester. Cudney is majoring in Game Design.

The College of Saint Rose in Albany congratula­tes Caitlin Peterson of Sherrill, who earned a Master of Science in Education as a member of the Class of 2016.

The following students graduated from Le Moyne College on Sunday, May 22, on the College’s campus. Approximat­ely 635 members of the class of 2016 participat­ed in the 66th commenceme­nt ceremony.

Ryan Engle of Waterville has been named to the Spring 2016 Dean’s List at Florida Institute of Technology.

The following local students were named to the Dean’s List at Wells College for the Spring 2016 semester.

Raymond Benson of Bouckville, Rebecca Emmerich of Canastota, Courtney Pitcher of Canastota.

The following students have earned Dean’s Award recognitio­n for the spring 2016 semester at Colgate University. The Dean’s Award for academic excellence is awarded to students with a 3.30 or higher term average.

Evan Cornell from Cazenovia, Brett Field from Durhamvill­e, Eden Connor from Cazenovia, Soo Bin Kwon from Hamilton, and Gabrielle Yates from Cazenovia.
