Night of Bourbon and Bidding fundraiser
VERNON >> The Arc of Madison Cortland and Building Futures Foundation will host the inaugural Night of Bourbon and Bidding at Vernon Downs Event Center on Nov. 5 from 6-10 p.m.
Proceeds from the event will be used to support programs and services for people with autism, Down syndrome, traumatic brain injury and other developmental disabilities.
Classified, a Central New York horn band, will perform and welcome special guest Ryan Quinn from the Voice to join them on stage. Quinn, a Central New York native, will be returning from the West Coast to co-emcee with 13-year-old comedian Owen Murphy.
Brian Hurley, a member of the Building Futures Foundation Board, said he hopes the event will raise money and awareness. “With the rapidly changing landscape of funding and regulations that the agency faces today, fundraising is more important than ever. A Night of Bourbon and Bidding will be an event to build upon each year,” he added.
A Night of Bourbon and Bidding will raise funds with a live and silent auction featuring more than 100 items including an Apple iPhone 7, South African Photography Safari, four Walt Disney World Hopper Passes, autographed football helmets from NY Giants Eli Manning and Buffalo Bills LeSean McCoy, gift certificates to restaurants, hot air balloon rides, jewelry, art, and property services.
The cost of the event is $60 per person or $100 per couple and includes an open beer and wine bar, bourbon tasting, and hors d’oeuvres. Tickets can be purchased online at www.arcofmc.org or by calling 315-363-3389 ext. 1600.
