DelConte for Supreme Court

I’m wholeheartedly throwing my support behind Scott DelConte for New York State Supreme Court.

He is a man of integrity and humility. He’s as honest as the day is long and he really cares about people. He’s not afraid of hard work and putting in the time to do the job right. He has contributed to our area not only in the field of law but as a volunteer with the Oswego County 4-H program and the County Fair, where he is assistant livestock superintendent. He is active in his church, including teaching Sunday school and he is on the board of the Port City Education Foundation.

Together with his amazing wife Heather they have raised four wonderful children; they have instilled values in their children that will serve them well and make their parents proud.

If I ever had to go to court, I’d want Scott DelConte sitting on the bench. I’m voting for Scott and I hope your readers will too. Check out his Facebook page and you will know what I mean!

Magee is Mr. Dependable

Bill Magee is a blue collar public servant dedicated to families in Central New York. Throughout his many years in Albany he has always put people ahead of politics. He helps bankers and bakers, lawyers and librarians, farmers and firefighters. Big or small, he serves us all.

Bill Magee is Mr. Dependable. He may not be a sharp dresser, fancy talker, or master of one liners but he comes to work every day, rolls up his sleeves, and gets things done. As chair of the Agriculture Committee he is often contacted by people locally and in other regions seeking his vast knowledge and expertise.

Assemblyman Magee has also fought to protect our environment, provide fair funding for our schools, and assist veterans. He has worked tirelessly to provide services for the handicapped and has been an advocate for women’s equality.

Assemblyman Magee has an old school work ethic that restores honor to his position and inspires praise for our region. He is a long time member of the Assembly majority who works well with members on each side of the aisle. That’s why Bill Magee is one of the top state legislators in terms of getting bills passed. He is good for the state and a true asset to our local area. If you have a concern, call or drop by his office. Assemblyman Magee is always willing to assist. Big or small, he serves us all.

Myers supportsworking class

Friends... You probably have already decided whom you are voting for in the presidential race. This post isn’t about that.

This is about the Congressional race in NY-22. Of the three candidates running for Congress in this district, I wholeheartedly support Kim Myers. I’ve met and talked to her one-on-one several times and I believe she is the best choice for working class people. I’m an independent voter and do not belong to, nor do I vote for party lines. I vote for individual candidates.

Her father-in-law was a letter carrier like myself. Her father started Dick’s Sporting Goods from $300 that her grandmother loaned him. Be- cause of hard work and a bit of luck, Kim Myers is a testament to the American dream that we all strive for.

Despite Kim’s success, she has remained humble. She was served on the school board and the county legislature. Despite having her own children, she has adopted two less fortunate children and is raising them as her own. KimMyers is compassionate and caring.

This Congressional district has a long-standing record of electing representatives who have moderate views and are willing to reach across the aisle to achieve reasonable solutions. Our former representatives: Sherwood Boehlert, Michael Arcuri, and Richard Hanna all had a reputation for working with the other party and Kim Myers has pledged to do the same.

So, despite whomever you are supporting in the presidential election, if you are like me and of the working class, please consider voting for Kim Myers as our next Congressional representative of NY-22.
