Mildred H. Hoffman, 101, of Morrisville
MORRISVILLE >> Mildred H. Hoffman, 101-½ years, went to be with her beloved Clarence in heaven on Thursday, March 16, 2017.
She was born on July 30, 1915 in Woodhaven, N.Y., a daughter of Charles N. and Harriett Fradenburg Hartjen, and was educated in local schools. On October 15, 1939, Mildred married the love of her life, Clarence Hoffman in Hamilton, NY. He predeceased her on May 6, 1989. Mildred dedicated her life to caring for her family and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her favorite past time was knitting.
Mildred was a mem- ber of the Peterboro United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge in Hamilton, and a proud member of the Pleasant Valley Reading Circle.
Surviving are her children, Harriett McNamara, Stephen and Rebecca Hoffman, all of Morrisville; a special nephew, John Hartjen of Cape Cod, Mass.; grandchildren, Richard (Kim) McNamara of Cazenovia; Melissa McNamara (fiance, Michael Rogers) of Manlius; Susan (Rodger) Parkhurst of Morrisville; Stephanie (Justin) Jackson of Idaho Falls, Idaho; CharlieAnna Hoffman of Canastota; SaraMarie Hoffman and Daniel Hoffman, both of Morrisville; twelve great-grandchildren, one greatgreat-grandchild;, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son-inlaw, Richard McNamara in 2011.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2017 from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 31 Cedar St., Morrisville.
Interment will be in the Erieville Cemetery in the spring.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1-3 p.m. prior to the service.
Contributions in her memory may be made to the Peterboro United Methodist Church, or to the Smithfield Fire Department.
