VERNON, N.Y. >> The VVS Entertainment industries (Ei) class is seeking nominations for the 2016-2017 Legacy Award.

The Norman J. Reed Legacy Award is given to a member of the Vernon-Verona-Sherrill community who exemplifies the values demonstrated by the former superintendent.

Reed grew up in the VVS community, graduating from VVS High School. His work ethic, based on giving rather than on receiving, forms the foundation for this legacy award. By serving others and ensuring that students experience these same opportunities, he established a legacy of service that continues to evolve within the school and extend to the community.

The Norman J. Reed Legacy Award is presented at the annual Every Voice Matters Talent Showcase. In addition to the presentation of the Legacy Award, the showcase features performances by the Entertainment industries (Ei) students, auditioned talent from the student body, and the presentation
