James L. Dorgan, 53, of Eaton

EATON>> James L. Dorgan, 53, of Eatonbrook Road, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Heathcare in New Hartford, N.Y.

He was born Aug. 7, 1963 in Utica, N.Y., a son of James A. and E. Marie Jaggers Dorgan. Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a warehouseman at the Turning Stone Casino. Jim enjoyed doing small engine repair, especially on John Deere machines. He also enjoyed hunting, cooking and watching cooking shows on TV.

Surviving are his fiancee, Bonnie Lewis of West Eaton; his mother, E. Marie Dorgan of West Eaton; his children, Alicia Dorgan of Morrisville, Becca Dorgan of Chittenango, Shawn Carpenter of North Carolina and Claude Horning of West Eaton; five grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, and a brother, John A. Dorgan.

Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2017 from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 31 Cedar St., Morrisville.

Interment with military honors will be in the West Eaton Cemetery at a later date.

Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Thursday from 3-5 p.m. prior to the service.
