Local duo nabbed in camp burglaries
A Central New York pair is in trouble after State Police connected them with a string of burglaries near the Adirondack State Park.
On March 24, State Pol ice in Remsen responded to a reported burglary in progress at a seasonal camp on Bear Creek Road in the Town of Forestport. When Troopers arrived, they found two individuals, identified as Dalton J. Prievo and Andrea C. Venturi inside the camp. While investigating the burglary, information was obtained that several seasonal camps and vehicles were entered and items taken.
Prievo, 20, of Sherrill, was charged with the following:
•second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class C felony;
•fist- degree criminal trespassing, a class Dfelony;
•fifth-degree possession of stolen property, a class A misdemeanor;
•third-degree manufacturing methamphetamine, a class D felony.
Venturi, 24, of Canastota, was charged with the following:
•second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class C felony;
•first- degree criminal trespassing, a class Dfelony;
•fifth-degree possession of stolen property, a class A misdemeanor;
•third-degree manufacturing methamphetamine, a class D felony;
•fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class A misdemeanor.
Both Prievo and Venturi were arraigned in the town of Forestport Court and remanded to the Oneida County Jail on $15,000 cash or $30,000 bond. State Police are requesting residents along Bear Creek Road to check their camps and vehicles for any missing items.
