Antiques Galore brunch at Rusty Rail
CANASTOTA » Oneida- Canastota Christian Women’s Club will hold a brunch on Thursday, June 22 at 10 a.m. at the Rusty Rail, Route 5. The theme will be “Antiques Galore” featuring The Eclectic Chic with antiques, primitives and vintage picks. Speaker will be Fawn Sunderland of Watertown, with “God Puts the Pieces Together.” Music will be provided by vocalist Chris Devona. Tickets are $14. Ice cream social set for June 22
VERNON CENTER » Vernon Center United Methodist Church will hold its annual Ice Cream Social on Thursday, June 22 from 5-8 p.m. in the park on Route 26. Brian Nelson will perform country and gospel songs. Food will be available including hot dogs, hamburgers, ice creamsundaes, pies, strawberry shortcake, and beverages.
Time change at Vernon UMC
VERNON » The Vernon United Methodist Church is changing the time of its Sunday service from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., effective July 2. The change is necessary so that Pastor Frank Loan can preach at the Clockville United Methodist Church at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday.
Second Hand Rose update
ONEIDA » Second Hand Rose Consignment Shop will be ending its summer clothing consignment as of June 24. The shop will still accept household items. Second Hand Rose is open Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 211 Stone St. behind First Presbyterian Church. Many items are available including plus sizes and the new Teen Room is open.
4Ever1 will perform at Augusta Church
ORISKANYFALLS » Augusta Presbyterian Church, 2345 Route 26, will host a coffee house on June 24 at 7 p.m. featuring the band 4ever1. The event is free and open to the public. 4ever1 has been ministering since 2004, playing at special events, banquets, conferences, coffeehouses, missions and a variety of denominational churches. The band plays a mix of praise and worship, contemporary, hymns and some well-known choruses, along with original songs and powerful, encouraging testimonies. This is the group’s third appearance at Augusta Presbyterian.
Guest pastor at Union Chapel
SYLVAN BEACH » The Rev. Phyllis Kitchen of Hecla Union Congregational Church in Westmoreland will be guest pastor at the Sylvan Beach Union Chapel on Sunday, June 25 at 10 a.m. The chapel, located on Park Avenue, was built in 1887 as a non-denominational house of worship. Garage sale planned for June 30-July 1
VERONA » St. Peter’s Lutheran Church will hold a garage sale in its fellowship hall on Friday, June 30 and Saturday, July 1 from9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. Goods for sale will include kids’ furniture, household items, clothes, toys, books and puzzles. There will also be a bake sale benefiting the youth group.
