‘Rumors’ dinner theater at Rusty Rail

CANASTOTA » Present Company Production­s will present “Rumors,” a farce by Neil Simon, at the Rusty Rail Party House, Seneca Turnpike.

Evening dinner theater will be held Saturdays, Oct. 28 andNov. 4 with dinner at 6 p.m. followed by theater at 7 p.m. Matinees will be offered Thursday, Oct. 26, Friday, Oct. 28, Sunday, Oct. 29, Friday, Nov. 3, Saturday, Nov. 4 and Sunday, Nov. 5with a buffet at 12 p.m. followed by theater at 1:30 p.m.

The cost is $31 per person for adults and $30 for seniors and students. Tickets for theater only are $12 for adults and $11 for seniors and students. Patrons may deduct $1 from the cost of their theater ticket by donating two canned goods.

In “Rumors,” several affluent couples gather at a posh suburban residence for a dinner party to celebrate the hosts’ 10th an- niversary. However, they soon discover that there are no servants, the hostess is missing, and the host (the Deputy Mayor of New York City) has shot himself through the earlobe. Comic complicati­ons arise when guests decide that they must do everything possible to conceal the evening’s events from the local police and media.

The cast features Scott White as Ken Gorman; Anita Thibado as Chris Gorman; Chrissy Collier as Claire Ganz; Dennis Willard as Lenny Ganz; Don Jeffrey as Dr. Ernie Cusack; Colleen Baldwin as Cookie Cusack; Lynne Ahnert as Cassie Cooper; Carl DeFranco as Glen Cooper; and Charles Vallee and Don Hayes as police officers. The show is directed and produced by Maria Curley.
