Keville will serve MadisonCounty voters
Election Day is quickly approaching on Nov. 7. We are lucky in Madison County to have so many talented and committed candidates running for office. I have not had the pleasure to know and work with all of the candidates. But, I do knowMike Keville. He is running for County Clerk. He will do a great job and I think you should vote for him.
I recommend Mike because it has always been important to me for our local officials to be public servants and not politicians. The driving force should be based in caring for your community and a desire to improve the social condition. You should want to give of your time and gifts to make the lives of those in your community better off. It is a gift you give and a gift that you receive to care more about others than yourself.
With that said, I have worked with Mike for the past two years for the Village of Chittenango and I believe in him. I didn’t knowMike much before two Aprils ago. What I have witnessed has made me proud to work alongside him and to be part of a great group of trustees. All of us came to official positions by volunteering in other capacities in the community; volunteering in efforts that bring those living in our community closer together through sports, civics, and seasonal events. Mike is no exception. He has a great love for his community, he volunteers and truly cares.
But, it is not always enough to care. Those with the biggest hearts often lack the organizational capacity to manage others and resources. Government organizations throw in the extra hurdles of rules and regulations. Plus, you have to always be cognizant that the resources that you handle are not yours, but belong to the community for which you represent.
I can say having watched and worked with Mike for the last two years that he has the ability to take on the organizational leadership requirements that come with being County Clerk. He approaches the work of government carefully. Whether it is lowering the costs of the village’s insurance and internet connection or disagreements between property owners, he has listened, learned and worked with those involved with the purpose of attaining the best solution; a resolution that leaves everyone better off. The Village of Chittenango has benefitted from Mike as mayor; benefitted in ways that are not obvious.
I am happy to support Mike Keville for County Clerk. Madison County will be better for it.
