Heidi Mitchell and William Kirtley
Heidi Marie Mitchell and William Harry Kirtley were married Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017 at 5 p.m. at Alyson’s Orchard. Justice of the Peace Eugene P. Martin Jr. of Manchester, N.H., friend of the bride and groom, officiated at the double ring ceremony.
Mitchell is the daughter of Eleonore Collins of Chittenango and Thomas Mitchell and Jane Ondich of Chittenango.
Kirtley is the son of Barbara Kirtley of Ridgefield, Conn. and the late James Logan Kirtley III.
Abbe Ross of New York, N.Y. was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Alena Heidecke of Petaluma, Calif., Jennifer Kuzma of Concord, N.H. and Heather Kirtley of Arlington, Mass.
J. Bradford Parker of Arlington, Mass. served as best man. Ushers were George B. Bickford of North Granby, Conn., Matthew Womer of Jamaica Plain, Mass. and Zachary Kirtley of Arlington, Mass.
The bride wore a classic ivory lace gown with scalloped neckline and plunging back, complete with lace train. She carried a radiant mix of August wildflowers including dahlias, country roses, thistle, hydrangea, orchids, scabiosa, gomphrena and dusty miller.
A reception to honor the couple was held on the orchard grounds. They will spend the New Year honeymooning in South Africa.
Mitchell, Director of Strategic Partnerships at ActBlue, is a graduate of SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse University.
Kirtley, who graduated from Northeastern University, is the Chief Technical Officer at ActBlue.
The couple resides in Cambridge, Mass. with their children’s from Kirtley’s previous marriage, Heather and Zachary.
