Sunday Results Morrisvill­e State Women’s Basketball

Visiting Morrisvill­e State College women’s basketball shot a combined 55% from the floor for a season best outing, including 59.1 percent from long range, as they handed host Penn College an 87-69 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) defeat Sunday afternoon on the road in Williamspo­rt. The Mustangs up their record to 2-0 in conference play, and pull to 3- 4 overall on the year. Penn College drops to 1-7 overall, 0-3 within NEAC action.

Morrisvill­e State Men’s Basketball

The Morrisvill­e State College men’s basketball team picked up their second North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) victory of the season Sunday afternoon as their balanced team effort resulted in a 78-57 win over host Penn College in Williamspo­rt, Pennsylvan­ia. With the win, the Mustangs pull their overall record even to 3-3, and improve to 2-0 within NEAC play. Penn College drops to 1-7 overall, 0-3 within conference action. Morrisvill­e State dominated the glass, out rebounding Penn College 47-29, with junior Kyle Peck (Oneida) reining in 12, while adding nine points to his tallies on the day.

Saturday Results SUNY-ESF Men’s Basketball

SUNY ESF fell to Villa Maria 91-55 on Saturday, falling to 2- 4 on the season. Tyler Kuhn (Oneida) recorded 10 points and nine rebounds in the effort for ESF, while teammate Justin VanDuLuitg­aarden ( VVS) finished with three points and three rebounds.

Colgate Women’s Basketball

Best this. Largest that. Sensing a trend? Colgate continued making the records book required reading as the Raiders posted their most lopsided victory margin in nearly three years and healthiest home win in almost five years with an 8464 triumph over UMass Lowell here Saturday. Colgate improved to 4- 4. It’s the best eight-game start to a Raiders season since the 2009 squad was 5-3. Last year’s team was 2- 6 on its way to a 3-8 nonconfere­nce record.

Colgate Men’s Basketball

The Colgate men’s basketball held an eight-point second half

lead, but Binghamton quieted the Raider offense and closed the game on a 35-17 run en route to a 76-65 win Saturday afternoon. Colgate drops to 3- 4 overall.

Morrisvill­e State Women’s Hockey

The Morrisvill­e State Women’s Ice Hockey team (7- 4-2) suffered their third loss of the season on Saturday afternoon falling 4-1 in non-conference action to the Franklin Pierce Ravens.

The Mustangs will hit the road on Saturday, December 9 for their final game of 2017 as they take on local rival, Utica College at 2 PM.
