Tickets available for Rice vs. Rice debate
CLINTON, N.Y. » Tickets for Hamilton College’s combined Great Names/Common Ground discussion with foreign policy experts and former national security advisors, Condoleezza Rice and Susan Rice, will be available to the public today.
Rice and Rice will discuss the current geopolitical landscape and national security issues on Wednesday, April 11, at 7:30 p.m., in the Margaret Scott Bundy Field House at Hamilton. Andrea Mitchell, NBC News’ chief foreign affairs correspondent and host of MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell Reports, will moderate the program, which seeks to model re--
spectful dialogue across political boundaries.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and seating will be general admission. No backpacks or large purseswillbe allowed into the field house for this event, and no video or audio recording or photography will be permitted.

Condoleezza Rice served as the 66th Secretary of State of the United States from 2005 to 2009, the second woman and first African-American woman to hold the post. From 1989 through March 1991, Rice served on President George W. Bush’s National Security Council staff. She is currently the Denning Professor in Global Business and the Economy at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, the Thomas and Barbara Stephenson Senior Fellow on Public Policy at the Hoover Institution, and a professor of political science at Stanford University.
Susan Rice served Presi- dent Barack Obama as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations from 2009 to 2013. From 2013 to 2017, she served as National Security Advisor, leading the diplomatic, intelligence, and development experts of the NSC staff. Rice is currently a Distinguished Visiting Research Fellow at the American University School of International Service and a non-resident senior fellow at the Belfer Center for Sci- ence and International Affairs at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. She is also a contributing opinion writer for The New York Times.
