Food, Fun & Friends dinner tonight

VERNON » Catholic Daughters Court Our Lady 1250 will hold its 4th annual Food, Fun & Friends Spaghetti Dinner on Thursday, June 7 in the Parish Center of Holy Family Church. The evening begins with a social time at 5 p.m. then dinner at 5:45 p.m., followed by some fun and entertainm­ent. Women from all parishes are invited to attend. Annual craft festival set for June 9

RICHFIELD SPRINGS » The 39th annual Friendship Craft Festival sponsored by the Church Of Christ Uniting in will take place Saturday, June 9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Spring Park on Route 20. The event will feature more than 50 area crafters, bake sale, Brooks’ chicken barbecue, and food from the Richfield Youth Sports organizati­on.

Free concert offered June 8

CANASTOTA » Opus Black String Quartet will be in concert at Canastota First Baptist Church, 304 S. Peterboro St. on June 8 at 7 p.m. The free concert is offered as part of the church’s yearlong 150th anniversar­y celebratio­n. Joining the group on guitar and mandolin will be special guest Bob Merrick of the Utica-based band Strung Sideways. Merrick will join Kristen Kopf on cello, Allyson Sklar on viola, and Liz Friedel on violin to perform music from AC/DC to Led Zeppelin with pop and alternativ­e rock sprinkled in.

Coffee house at Augusta Church

ORISKANY FALLS » Augusta Presbyteri­an Church, 2345 Route 26, will host a coffee house on Saturday, June 9 at 7 p.m. featuring Tony and Tacie Languein, a husband and wife duo from Clinton who have been worshiping together for more than 18 years. “Worship in Spirit” is what they were called to do. They have played around central New York and have traveled as far as Cape Cod, Mass. to minister through music and testimony. There will be a free will offering and refreshmen­ts.

Free movie night at Holy Family Church

VERNON » The Secular Franciscan­s of Holy Family Fraternity are having another Tuesday Movie Night at Church of the Holy Family on June 12 at 6 p.m. The movie will be “Let There be Light” starring Kevin Sorbo. The event is free; popcorn and beverages will be served.

Installati­on of officers set for June 12

ONEIDA » Court Our Lady Catholic Daughters No. 1250 will hold the installati­on of its new officers at Mass on June 12 at 7 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Church. Officers to be installed for 2018-2020 are Cindy Thurston as Grand Regent, Kay Malone as Vice Regent, Viola Fewer as Recording Secretary, Louise Mosack as Financial Secretary and Nancy Walter as Treasurer. A reception and short business meeting will follow in the St. Joseph’s Parish Center. Mary Jean Beniniti along with Marianne Conte, Mary James, Lillian Rossetti, Virginia Seminaroti, Ann Costello, Josephine Jones, Stephanie Rydelek and Carol Simchik are in charge of refreshmen­ts.

Annual Strawberry Festival at Christ UMC

SHERRILL » Christ Church United Methodist will hold its annual Strawberry Festival on Saturday, June 16 from 4-7 p.m. at the church, 417 Park St. The church is elevator accessible at the Park Street en- trance. Strawberry shortcake will be served for $5 per person and $3 for a second serving. Pulled pork sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs, Italian sausage and potato salad will also be available for purchase. Beverages will be offered free of charge. Take-outs will be available. Part of the proceeds will support the youth mission trip to the United Kingdom.

Donations accepted for garage sale

CLINTON » The Utica Area Teens for Christ will hold a garage sale at the Clinton Village Arena, 36 Kirkland Ave., Thursday, June 28 through Saturday, June 30. The sale will run 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. Donations are accepted and are tax deductible. Clothing, TVs, mattresses and computers are not accepted. Drop off times are June 16, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; June 17, 2-5 p.m.: and June 18, 20 and 21 from 6-8 p.m.

Ice cream social slated for June 21

VERNONCENT­ER » Vernon Center United Methodist Church will hold an ice cream social on Thursday, June 21 from 5-8 p.m. in the park on Route 26. The event will feature country and gospel music with Brian Nelson. A variety of ice cream, sundaes, pie a la mode, and strawberry shortcake will be available, along with hot dogs, hamburgers and cheeseburg­ers.

Clothing donations accepted

CHITTENANG­O » St. Paul’s Episcopal Church has a St. Pauly’s Shed to collect donations of usable clothing, shoes, sneakers, belts, purses, linens, pillow cases, blankets, curtains and stuffed animals. All items should be bagged. No rags, fabric scraps, pillows, electronic­s, toys or household goods can be accepted. The shed is located behind the church at 204 Genesee St.
