When is the best time to hunt?
There’s a lot that goes in to choosing the right time to go out deer hunting.
Are you one of the people who owns several hundred acres, has every type of food plot known to mankind, and so many tree stands that you could string a zip line connecting them, and only hunt when conditions are perfect? Probably not. If you are, you don’t need to bother reading this column. Maybe you are one of the people who regularly checks the phases of the moon before hunting. Are you a hunter who goes or stays home depending on the weather and what the “experts” say about it? Do you believe firmly that you need cold weather to influence the rut or get deer moving?
