Man attacks truck with brass knuckles
VERONA, N.Y. >> A Verona man was arrested after a verbal dispute ended with him donning a pair of brass knuckles and attacking the other man’s truck.
According to theOneida County Sheriff’sOffice, on Saturday, Nov. 10, deputies responded to a domestic dispute in Verona between Ronald S. Campbell Jr, 25, of Verona and Stephen L. Grosjean, 51, of Annsville around 9 p.m.
Police say the verbal dispute between Campbell andGrosjean turned physicalwhen Campbell pursued Grosjean with brass knuckles.
Grosjean retreated to his truck and Campbell followed, attempting to climb upon the vehicle and striking it with the brass knuckles, according to
law enforcement officials.
Police sayGrosjean drove away from the scene, striking Campbell with the truck in the process.
Campbell was transported by ambulance to Upstate University Hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries and released shortly after.
Campbell was arrested and charged with seconddegree criminalmischief, a class Dfelony; third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, class A misdemeanor and thirddegree menacing, a class B misdemeanor.
C a mp - bell was arraigned at the Oneida County CAP Court and remanded to the Oneida County Jail on $1,000 bail.
Campbell has since been released after appearing at the Town of Verona Court and is scheduled to reappear on a later date.
