Holiday a cappella with Pentatonix
VERONA, N.Y. >> Three-time Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum selling artists Pentatonix will perform at Turning Stone Resort Casino Event Center on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 8 p.m. to celebrate the release of their newest album, “Christmas is Here.”
The album will be released on Oct. 26 via RCA Records and features new Pentatonix arrangements of modern and classic seasonal favorites. Ahead of the album, Pentatonix is releasing their cover and arrangement of Danny Elfman’s “Making Christmas” from Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” on Sept. 28. Special guest artists will be announced soon.
The a cappella group’s three previous holiday albums have all reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Digital Albums Chart, No. 1 on Billboard’s Holiday Albums Chart and have charted on the Billboard 200 Chart with two of the albums reaching No. 1. Additionally, all of the albums have been certified gold, platinum or multi-platinum.
Their most recognizable holiday tracks, “Mary, Did You Know?” and “Hallelujah” were certified platinum, while the Pentatonix original, “Can’t Sleep Love,” was certified gold. The group has had two holiday specials on NBC, released their tour documen- tary - On My Way Home - in 2015 and appeared in the feature film, Pitch Per- fect 2.
