Hamilton College Winter Ensemble
CLINTON, N.Y.>> The Hamilton College Department of Music invites the public to a full schedule of year-end concerts featuring the Hamilton College Choir and College Hill Singers, Hamilton College Orchestra, Hamilton College Jazz Ensemble and Student Soloists.
“Doc” Woods leads the Hamilton College Jazz Ensemble on Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 9 p.m. in Café Opus. This event features new charts, jazz standards and student arrangements.
Under the direction of Danan Tsan, the Hamilton College Choir and College Hill Singers performon Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 7:30 p.m. The concert explores the theme of embracing the darkness of the winter solstice.
Heather Buchman conducts the Hamilton College Orchestra on Friday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. The program includes Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 1, “Winter Dreams.”
The season concludes with the Student Soloists Concert on Saturday, Dec. 8 at 6 p.m. Students selected by a faculty panel perform solo works for voice, piano, strings, woodwinds and more.
