Hamil­ton Col­lege Win­ter En­sem­ble

CLIN­TON, N.Y.>> The Hamil­ton Col­lege Depart­ment of Mu­sic in­vites the pub­lic to a full sched­ule of year-end con­certs fea­tur­ing the Hamil­ton Col­lege Choir and Col­lege Hill Singers, Hamil­ton Col­lege Orches­tra, Hamil­ton Col­lege Jazz En­sem­ble and Stu­dent Soloists.

“Doc” Woods leads the Hamil­ton Col­lege Jazz En­sem­ble on Tues­day, Dec. 4 at 9 p.m. in Café Opus. This event fea­tures new charts, jazz stan­dards and stu­dent ar­range­ments.

Un­der the di­rec­tion of Danan Tsan, the Hamil­ton Col­lege Choir and Col­lege Hill Singers per­for­mon Wed­nes­day, Dec. 5 at 7:30 p.m. The con­cert ex­plores the theme of em­brac­ing the dark­ness of the win­ter sol­stice.

Heather Buch­man con­ducts the Hamil­ton Col­lege Orches­tra on Fri­day, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. The pro­gram in­cludes Tchaikovsky’s Sym­phony No. 1, “Win­ter Dreams.”

The sea­son con­cludes with the Stu­dent Soloists Con­cert on Satur­day, Dec. 8 at 6 p.m. Stu­dents se­lected by a fac­ulty panel per­form solo works for voice, pi­ano, strings, wood­winds and more.
