Irrigation water management assistance
MARCY, N.Y. >> The United States Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) will offer a special program sign-up for technical and financial assistance for agricultural producers to implement irrigation water management practices in Cayuga, Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Fulton, Hamilton, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Montgomery, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, Saratoga, St. Lawrence, Warren, and Washington counties.
This special program focuses on practices that improve irrigation efficiency and plant health and productivity. The application deadline for this AMA funding is Jan. 18, 2019.
All applications are competitive and are ranked based on national, state and locally identified resource priorities and the overall benefit to the environment. At the time of application, applicants must specify the resource concern(s) that they intend to address.
