Nurse practitioner joins group
ROME, N.Y. >> Nurse Practitioner Elizabeth (Liz) Scialdone, FNP-C, has joined the staff of Delta Medical and is accepting new patients.
Scialdone joins Lynne Philley, MS, RN, A- GNP, CGRN, VA-BC, and Libby Gleasman, RN, FNP-C.
“We are thrilled to welcome Liz to Delta Medical,” said Director Kristen Hutchins. “With experience in both primary care and hospital settings, Liz is a welcome addition to our staff. Patients will appreciate her commitment to providing quality adult primary care for our community.”
For Scialdone, caring for patients in a primary care setting means developing and maintaining relationships with patients and their families.
“At Delta Medical, patients are at the center of all we do,” Scialdone said. “By getting to know my patients and identifying their health goals, I can go beyond a medical diagnosis and treat the whole person.”

Scialdone has eight years experience as a family nurse practitioner in primary care. She is skilled in evaluating andmanaging a wide scope of acute, chronic and complex medical problems, providing preventative care and helping her patients assume a healthy lifestyle. She earned her bachelor of science in nursing and her master of science in nursing as a family nurse practitioner from SUNY IT, Utica.
Scialdone recognizes the importance of education in the ever- changing world of healthcare. An adjunct nursing instructor at SUNY Polytechnic Institute, Utica, she utilizes her experience to help her students take one day at a time and to embrace learning.
