Jessica’s Heroes 5K Run and Walk
To continue to honor the legacy of Jessica Froelick, a local hero tomany, proceeds fromthis event go to the Cancer Care Fund of Oneida Healthcare to be given to local Cancer patients touse as needed while enduring treatment.
ONEIDA, N.Y. >> Central New York heroes are being called upon to help those fighting cancer.
Jessica’s Heroes 5K Run/ Walk will kick off on Saturday, Sept. 28, at 9:45 a.m. at Oneida High School to raise funds to ease the financial burdens of those battling cancer. To continue to honor the legacy of Jessica Froelick, a local hero to many, proceeds from this event go to the Cancer Care Fund of Oneida Healthcare to be given to local Cancer patients to use as needed while enduring treatment.
Jessica’s Heroes 5K starts off with the opening ceremony at 9:30 a.m. at Oneida High School followed by DnB Entertainment to help partic
ipants warm up by rocking out. There is a 0.3 mile Fun Run for kids 10 and under starting at 9:45 a.m., the 5K Run begins at 10 a.m., and walk at 10:15 a.m.
Registration fee is $25 for the 5KRun or Walk and $15 for survivors and students. The Kids Fun Run is free. Those interested in participating can register at JessicasHeroes.ItsYourRace.com. Register by Sept. 4 to receive a Jessica’s Heroes T-shirt. There are also several fundraising goals with goodies, including a cape, shirt, gift cards, and more.
